ABOUT PROMIXER.
This program represents a part of the new S-EDIT sample
editor. But this is not meant as a preview of this function,
I just ripped it out of our own source-code. (And of course
I wanted to promote the stereo-version of S-EDIT, the most
enhanced sample-editor for DOS).
Creative Labs created "SBP-MIX.EXE", to change the settings
on the mixer-chip. But I still don't know why they made it
a TSR. Each time I executed sbp-mix, I had to type sbp-mix /u
to get it out of the base-memory. And : the user-interface is
far from 'good looking'. With this program you have all the volume
and filter settings on one screen. There are some functions
which I did not use : the fm-chip channel switching and the
high and low recording filters for example. This is because I
don't think you will use these functions often, and if you do,
you will change them while recording samples in our editor.
We are working on two sample-editors at the moment :
The stereo- multiple soundcard supporting- version of S-EDIT;
"BRAINWAVE", our new sample-editor for WINDOWS 3.1
Check out our area on the ULTRAFORCE BBS : (+031) (0)70-3585109
That's it for now. Happy executing !
Jeroen Koomen (SONIX).
